Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. Her name was chosen by her parents after the town where she was raised in. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's dad was born into the Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria who is half-sister to Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder and her family relocated to Mendocino County in California, when Ryder was seven. The family resided in an area without electricity. Ryder was a prolific reader due to the absence of television. Ryder began taking classes in acting at American Conservatory Theatre when she reached the age of 12. In 1986, she got her first big-screen role in the film Lucas at just fifteen years old. Ryder was bullied in her high school. She thought that by becoming an actor her behaviour would be changed. Unfortunately, that did not occur. But she continued to pursue her dreams. She got her break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in 1988. Ryder was able to continue playing roles that were successful in several movies. In 1993, she was awarded an Academy Awards to be awarded for The Age of Innocence.
