Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musical family on 9 August 1963, in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel superstar Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singer Dionne Warwick. In Newark Whitney started singing with the choir of the church as a small child. When she was 15 years old, she joined her mother in backing vocals in Chaka's smash Im Every Woman from 1978. Later, she provided background vocals for Lou Rawls & Jermaine jackson and even her mother. Her first gig was as a lead vocalist with the band from New York called Material in the year 1981. It was this excellence of her vocal work in the band that caught the attention of the major record labels, including Arista which she signed with in 1983 and where she stayed for the rest of her career. Whitney Houston was her debut album. Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and quickly became the top-selling album by the debut artist. A number of hit singles, such as The Greatest Love of All, Saving My Love For You How Will I Know You Give Good Love and The greatest Love of All were released from the album, setting the stage for her to beat the Beatles with seven consecutive US numbers one. The album debuted in 1987, and it sold over 25 million copies across the globe. The Whitney album released in 1987 which featured the songs The Bodyguard, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to continue her popularity. It came with The Bodyguard of 1992 that made her one of the top-selling artists in history. Though the movie was not highly appreciated and neither did her performance, but the music of her Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You was able to reach the top spot on both singles and albums charts across the US for months. She sold 44,000,000 copies. When she had her daughter Bobbi she married Bobby Brown of the ex-New Edition group. Around this time her use of drugs became well documented and she was able to use it regularly by 1996.
Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she is employed by CNN as anchorwoman, reporter and political reporter. Her programs on Saturdays include Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. In terms of honours and awards Bash was once placed in Women in Washington Power List' by Elle magazine. She is known to have remarkable anchoring skills and her reporting abilities are admired by young journalists. She is also a loving mother of her son, even though she graduated of George Washington University. She has been married twice but is currently dating. Bash loves her supporters to the core. The American journalist keeps her fans informed about her day-to-day activities through social media sites such as Instagram as well as Twitter.
