In June 1985, Miss Georgia was to be held in her honor. On Saturday, June 22nd in 1985, she was also crowned the contest. In September of 1985, Mohr represented Georgia in her participation at Miss America 1986 Pageant held in Atlantic City (New Jersey) following her win. In spite of her success however, she was not within the Top 10 for national title.
